Entomology (Study of Bugs)/Bees and trees

Why are bees and butterflies suddenly attracted to a particular tree

When the tree flowers, the bees and butterflies like to drink the nectar from the flowers.  Butterflies also lay eggs on the leaves of certain trees so their caterpillars can eat the leaves once they hatch from the eggs.  Bees will also nest in the hollow inside a tree.
