Can you identify this?  I found several in my kitchen near a window.  They seem to jump.  Thanks!

Answer
S,

This is either a small wasp or a winged ant, can't see enough detail to id further. Actually ants are closely related to wasps and are sometimes called "wingless wasps". Since you found several my guess is these are winged ants coming from a nest somewhere in the house, usually walls or ceiling. The best treatment for these ants is baits, not sprays (see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/ant_bait.html).
