Can you tell me what this is? I found dead in laundry room. It was very small in size about 1/4 cm. Picture is magnified 4x. Do I need pest control?

Answer
T,

This is an immature cockroach, see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cockroaches.html for id and control info. When you find immatures exposed like this it often means that there's a significant infestation hidden inside the walls because the older ones are crowding the smaller ones out into the open. Baits are the best approach to control, see http://www.livingwithbugs.com/cockroach_baits.html. You don't necessarily need pest control unless you just don't want to do it yourself.
