Environmental Science/Upwellings

Question
I am orchestrating an experiment on how to determine if wetlands have upwellings and whether the depth of the wetland effects that wetland. However, I am a bit stuck because I am not quite sure how to test a wetland for an upwelling. Are there signs that upwellings have occurred, or is there a certain time period for a upwelling to happen?

Answer
Destiny:
I am not really sure what you mean by an upwelling.  I am guessing that there is probably some turnover seasonally, depending on the depth of the water in the wetland and other properties.  I would think would want to create a temperature profiles over time.  I am guessing that this experiment is going to require at least one year to complete to make sure that you make your observations across all seasonal variations.
I do not know if there is currently any evidence of upwellings, as a scientist that should be part of your research and those answers should be included in your thesis.

Good luck.
