Expertise
I`m 15 and I can answer questions pertaining to everything about dogs except bird and hunting dog training. I used to work at the humane society as a volunteer and I currently visit Hope Veterinary Clinic as an observer twice a week. I`ve raised and trained dogs ever since I was 5, if I don`t know the answer to your question I have an extensive collection of dog books, I currently have 17 dog health books, 28 dog breed books, 19 training books, and 39 general dog books. I also have a 3 year collection of Dog Fancy magazines.

Experience
I have raised dogs for almost four years, I have rescued a few animals and found them homes.

Question
What is the best food to feed an Eskie as a puppy, young dog, adult, and senior?  Some articles that I have read lately seem to indicate that some dog foods can be harmful and bring on certain problems.

Answer
Hi, I've tried just about every brand of food out there, all of my dogs have NOT done well on Purina and Gravy Train, especially not Purina Beneful, since it contains corn, which gave all four of my dogs dirahea.  I've found that Science Diet is the most healthy and contains the most healthy ingredients.  Science Diet Nature's Best With Real Beef and the Lamb Meal & Rice Formulas are the most healthy, Science Diet usually is available though your vet, a pet store, or pet discount store, such as Petsmart.  A more budget healthy food is Iams, the original formula has the healthiest ingredients.  Another healthy alternative is home cooking, there are many books available on this topic, I recommend Barker's Grub : Easy, Wholesome Home-Cooking for Dogs by Rudy Edalati.  Hope this helps!
