Question
hi carol, i have just read a few of your replies to various question, and found them very interesting
could you tell me please, the phrase

Chinese Whispers
what are its  origins ??? ,  kindess regards  carol

Answer
Hello,  I hope that you are having a fine week,
There seems to be consensus that the term "Chinese Whispers" may be considered racist so you might want to call the game 'Telephone' as we do in the United States.
It is a party game in which a story is whispered from person to person and the last person relates the story outloud.  Often the story has been misheard and thus distorted making the final version funny to hear.
The game was featured a year or so ago on an episode of the HBO show 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'.
    Best to you always,
    CP
