Expert: Carol Pozefsky - 8/1/2009

Question
hello sir,
can u please refer some words from Greek or Latin orgin which means "THANKS" Or "GIVING THANKS"

Answer
Hello and welcome to a new week,
My specialty is etymology;  the origins of English words and phrases.  But I'll take a stab at this Latin translation.
I believe that thanks in Latin would be:  Gratias ago.
     The best to you always,
           Carol P.
