What is the difference between assumptions and probabilities?

Hello,I hope you're having a fine weekend,

Assumptions are beliefs which one presumes to be true;   a supposition.
According to the Oxford English Dictionary:  The act of taking something for granted;  the taking of something as being true for the sake of argument or action;

Probability is the degree of likelihood;  a thing judged likely to be true, to exist or to happen.
In mathematics:  the extent to which a particular event is likely to occur (commonly estimated by the ratio of the number of favorable cases to the total number of all possible cases)

The best to  you always,
