Excel/Unlinking Sheets using Excel 2007 in Vista OS

QuestionRichard I am pasting the inquiry that I have been unsuccessful at finding any answers.. Please advise if you can.. thanks... see inquiry below......
I am working on an EXCEL spreadsheet in Vista. I happen to have another file, also EXCEL, open on my screen at the same time. When I close my red EXCEL spreadsheet, does the green EXCEL spreadsheet automatically get linked to the red one? Does this just happen or did I do something to link the two files together? The two files are very similar but with different calculations/numbers in cells. The red one now indicates it is linked to the green file

You would have linked the files together somehow. If you copied information from one workbook to another then you may have inserted a link instead. You can find the link using the this link
