Excel - Updating worksheets names from a name list

Expert: Aidan Heritage - 2/27/2008

Question
I'm creating a summary sheet of names of work sheets, all in the same
workbook, that will vertically list the sheet names in a column. I want to
be able to change the work sheet names from the list and automatically change the name on the respective worksheet, and if that can't be done, then make the change on their respective tabs and have ths
automatically reflected in the list on the summary sheet. Is this doable,
and if so, how might I go about it?

Answer
The only way you will be able to do it is via VBA, and (as far as I know) this would have to be through the change event of the worksheet, and you would have to change the name on the list itself.  You didn't specify WHY you wanted to do this however, so there may be alternatives to the actual problem you are trying to resolve.
