Excel - Conditional Formatting

Expert: Richard Rost - 10/30/2009

Question
I am trying to do a conditional format on 1 cell if another cell is between 1 and 99. I think I need to insert a function but I am not sure. Not sure if there is a formula.

Answer
You can't apply conditional formatting to a DIFFERENT cell without some VBA programming.

Excel has a feature called Conditional Formatting that you can use to change the format (color, font, bold, etc.) based on the value of the cell.

See this FREE video tutorial on my web site for instructions on how to use Conditional Formatting.
