QUESTION: My Excel Interface is importing external source data.
I have created manual button to refresh the excel sheet when ever user changes/updates the external source data values.I just want to make this function/event as automatic event.I tried with on-time method but my excel application is getting hanged,I really apreciate if you provide me solution to acheive automatic

ANSWER: Hi Babu,

There is no need for a macro, you can set the query properties so that it updates itself at an interval you choose.

Hi Babu,

Apologies for not explaining!

In Excel 2003, click anywhere in the querytable. Then make sure the "External data" toolbar is visible (View, Toolbars, External data). The Second button on that toolbar is named "Data Range Properties. Use that button.

Excel 2007: Select Table, click on the Table Tools tab, find the same button in the "External Table Data" group (top-right button in that group).
