Question
Hi Miguel,

I have a problem with excel. Whenever I fill a cell with a color it changes automatically. For example i fill orange in a cell, when I tab to the next cell the color orange changes to grey. What could be the problem? I tried to play around with the color formatting but it didn't help much. I've also reinstalled a new version of excel same problem occurs.

Excel 2003
Winxp Pro SP2

Please help..

Many thanks

Answer
The sheet may have conditional formatting on that cell.  Select the cell and check it on the menu Format->Conditional formatting.  If there are any conditions there, remove them.

If that doesn't work I don't know what else could be causing that behavior, sorry.

Hope this helps,
Miguel
