Excel/Display the far right value in a row

Question
Hi Tom,
Can you tell me if a formula exists that will return the farthest value to the right in a row?  For example, I want the formula to be written in cell A1 and look at all cells to the right of A1.  If there is some value in cells B1 through AC1, I want it to display the value in AC1.  If on the next day additional data is entered in AD1 through AT1, then I want the formula to return the value in AT1.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jim

Answer
Jim,

will the values be numbers.  If so you could use

=IF(COUNT(B1:IV1)=0,"",INDEX(B1:IV1,1,MATCH(9.999E+307,B1:IV1,1)))

worked for me with numbers.  If it would be characters/text, post back.  If Excel 97, change the IV1 to reflect the last column in the worksheet.
