Excel/Excel is subtracting numbers when it gets bumped off the bottom of my spreadsheet

Question
Hello,
I'm a commodities trader and i have real time data coming into my spreadsheet all day. I fill up 65,000 rows in just a few minutes. With all of this data it really slows down my computer.
The problem I have is i have formulas that are adding up all of the data but when the data gets down to the bottom, about row 65,000 it gets bumped of the spreadsheet and then excel automatically subtracts the numbers from my total, which is a big problem for me.
It just occurred to me i don't really need to have 65,000 rows. I am only interested in a number the first time it comes across the first row in my spread sheet. I can do this with just a few rows but i somehow need to have excel not subtract the numbers when they get bumped off the bottom of the spreadsheet. Can somebody please tell me if this is possible?
Thank you very much,
Devin Taylor

Answer
Hi Devin,

I'm not sure how this part is caused by Excel:

"when the data gets down to the bottom, about row 65,000 it gets bumped of the spreadsheet and then excel automatically subtracts the numbers from my total, which is a big problem for me."

I suspect there is some logic in either formulas or in a macro that is causing this. WIthout having that information I can't possibly help you solve the problem.

Do you need to keep the real time data, or is it OK to have it processed at the moment it comes in? Maybe just keeping the last two series of data you got in?
