QuestionDear sir,
Here i got a question , I have a Different named seperate work books about 56,presently iam extracting the data from Tally direcectly to excel files by opeinig individually one by one, then after i will copy the data into one master file, it's time consuming job, but now i want the date to update into master book while i am updating individual work book automatically,each work book may cotain about 3000 lines of data , i am using Excel -2007.
Plase send your advise, thakns in advance.

You need linking formulas to bring the data over to the master book.
A linking formula will look something like this
=[Book1]Sheet1!$A$1
This formula can be in the master book and will bring over the data from Book1, sheet1, cell A1.
If you change the data in Book1, sheet1, cell A1, then the data in the master book will also change.
You can copy the formula across and down and it will change appropriately because of relative referencing.
It will be a little tedious to set the formulas up for 56 workbooks but once set up they will work well for you.
