QuestionI like to do crosswords/codebreakers
I automated the process but know want to cross the letters used of the list when I have used them, I do it manually but would like to do it automatically.
Example- I find that the figure 3 = represents the letter e in the codebreaker,I find all the occurrences of 3 in the codebreaker and change them to e by find and replace. I then cross off the letter e in my alphabet list, I want to make this last action automatic as well. Is it possible. Thanks Peter B
AnswerI think the easiest way to do this would be with conditional formatting where a formula is used – this would be a COUNTIF – if the count of the letter on the grid is greater than zero, then a strikethrough format would be applied to the cell – hope this is clear, but if not please let me know – should it help my email is aidan.heritage@virgin.net
