Excel/How to four columns where data is in Credit

Question
Hi Bob,

Is there a way of sorting four columns of data to display values that are in credit for all of the four columns, then sort from highest to lowest value. I have heard that there is a limitation of three columns, but only seem to be able to sort by one column.

The data in the columns will be debit and credit values, so I would like to be able sort the four cells in each row, for the four columns that are in credit, then have a second sort from Highest to lowest value.

Example below:

Col 1   Col2      Col3       col4
100Cr   10,000Cr  120,112CR  1,123,456cr
88DR    11,281Dr  5,000CR    3,333,000cr
444Cr   2222cr    88888cr    555555cr

So I would like rows 1 and 3 sorted first as the first key, then the highest total value of credit sorted first as the second key.

Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Ron.

Answer
I don't understand - can you give what this would look like AFTER said sort?
Are you saying you want a normal sort by column 1, then each row sorted by the 4 columns so the result is
Col 1    Col 2    Col 3    Col 4
88DR     5000CR   11281DR  3333000CR
100CR    10000Cr  120112CR 1123456CR
444CR    2222CR   88888CR  555555CR

??
And is the Data numbers FORMATTED as containing DR/CR or TEXT because they actually CONTAIN DR/CR
