Excel/Global String Variable

Hi Tom,
I have a couple of userforms and macros where I have to get info from a specific folder location.

I use this:

Dim MyDir as string

How can I set this variable just once and will will work for all my codes?

You could make it a constant.

at the top of a general/standard module (insert=>Module in the vbe) you could put

Const mydir As String = "C:\TestFolder\SubFlder\"

by putting it at the top of a general/standard module in the declarations section (above any procedure), the constant should have project wide (workbook wide) scope and be visible from userform modules, class modules, sheet modules and all other modules.

However, you can not declare mydir anywhere else such as in another procedure.  That local declaration would "hide" the public declaration.  So only declare it as above and remove any local declarations.
