i have created scatter diagram with smooth lines and now i need to draw a line from y-axis that cuts the curve and so that i can find its value in x-axis. is it possible to do so if yes please suggest how? thank you

I'm sure it IS possible - I have to admit to having limited use of charting BUT I do know of some good resources which provide most answers - in this case, I would go with jon Peltier at www.peltiertech.com - to save you searching I've put in a suggested search of http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partner-pub-1975943359936598%3A3rfphr06tf2&ie=ISO-8 but by all means alter my terms!

I have provided first hand support since `95 for Microsoft Office majoring in Word and Excel - support for all versions from 2 onwards. I'm based in the UK, so please allow for time differences when asking me questions from other parts of the world!

My background is in the insurance industry and call centre areas, but have been called upon to provide many varied solutions.

I'm educated to UK A level standard, but as I left school some 30 years ago that is rather irrelevent - university of life has provided more of a background!
