# Excel/difference between dates

Question
Hi Tom

I have two dates.  One (today's date) in "A1" and and earlier date in "A2".

I make a simple calculation, =A1-A2.  The difference returns the number of days.

Is it possible to just return the number of weekdays?

Thanks in advance

Uses the Networkdays function.  It is detailed in Help, so I am sure you can see how to use it.  You can also define what your holidays are and it will consider those in its calculations.

This used to be in an addin, but is a built in function in Excel 2007 and later.
