I have a database in A1:H100. With the cursor in A1, I would like to do the following:

Evaluate if A1= "x"
If true, move right 1 cell
Call macro 1
If not true, go down 1 cell and evaluate for "x"
After running macro 1, cursor should move down one row to A2 and repeat evaluation for "x"
Macro should quit running when cell value in column A is blank

Can you help?

Try this on a copy of your worksheet.

Put the code in a general module (in the VBE, Insert=>Module)

Sub abc()
Dim r As Range
Set r = Range("A1")
If r = "x" Then
  r.Offset(0, 1).Select
End If
r.Offset(1, 0).Select
Set r = Selection
Loop While Len(Trim(r)) <> 0
End Sub

It worked as I expected when I tested it.  Hopefully that reflects what you expect.
