Excel/Excel format issues

I have a column of cells that i cannot get the left side to have a border line.  I have deleted the cell, and tried on the next one, played with margins but still i need the left side of the column to have a border line.. help!!

Make a cell active, then right click then select format cells, then select border.  Clic on one of the styles in the "style" box then click on the left side of the larger box that says "text" in the middle of the box. Then clic okay.  This will place a border line on the left side of the cell.  If you want the column to have the border you can copy and use the paste special/format feature to paste the format to the other  cells in the column.  If there is no data in the cells you can just use the copy and paste feature to put the border in the other cells.

Hope this helps
