Excel/Check last row in a column with data (not with Formula)

Hi Tom,

I am using the below logic to get the last row from a column -

i = ws1.Cells(Rows.count, "I").End(xlUp).Row
   Range("I19:I" & i).Select

I have a formula till 200 rows but data only till 100 rows. from 101 to 200 are blank cells as per formula.

How can I make it dynamic to get the last row only till where there is some data but not the formula.

Please advice.

you would need to loop from there back to find the first filled row.

The alternative would be if you had a formula like this

=if(condition, return a number, "")

so if the formula returns a result it will be a number - otherwise it will be text.  In that case, you can find the last number using specialcells

Range("I19:I" & i).specialcells(xlformulas,xlNumbers).Select

i = ws1.Cells(Rows.count, "I").End(xlUp).Row
do while len(trim(cells(i,"I"))) = 0
 i = i - 1
 if i = 19 exit loop
Range("I19:I" & i).Select
