Excel/conditional formatting formulas

Hi Tom

Could you help me with the following issue?

I would like a particular cell to be conditionally formatted using a formula.

Let's say I write John Smith in cell "i2".  If that particular person receives a free school meal (FSM) the cell "i2" needs to be conditionally formatted according to the colour scheme of my choice.

The lookup range would be BA12:BB51.  The column would be "2".  Is there a formula that would achieve this?

Thanks in advance

You just need to design a formula that tests to true

choose "conditional formatting", "New Rule", "Use a formula to determine which cells to format"

Put in a formula like this:

you then specify the formatting for that condition.
