Sir look below i am getting this error #N/A


         A          B          C
1          Id type          Id number
2         Rakesh        Passport          00256
3         Aman          Driving License         53536
4         Mr Tom        Election card          Zx5689
5         Sam          School Id          ppl369



         Name          Id          Result
12      Rakesh          Id type          Passport



sir i entered this formula in C12     =INDEX($B$2:$C$5,MATCH(A12,$A$2:$A$5,0),MATCH(B12,$B$1:$C$1,0))

but when A12 and/or B12  are empty it shows #N/A in C12



i tried a lot with ISNA and ISERROR but gives error message "entered too many arguments"

or if you have excel 2007 or later

=IFERROR(INDEX($B$2:$C$5,MATCH(A12,$A$2:$A$5,0),MATCH(B12,$B$1:$C$1,0)),"")
