Excel/Altering VBA

Question
Hi Tom

Is it possible to merge these two pieces of code?  They are both "Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)" and apparently you can only have one per worksheet.

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
   Dim intLastRow      As Integer

   If Not Intersect(Range("GroupCell"), Target) Is Nothing Then

       Range("H3:I4").ClearContents

       intLastRow = Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row - 1
       Call UnProtectMe
       Cells(2, 4).Resize(intLastRow, 1).ClearContents
       Call ProtectMe
   End If
End Sub

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim i As Long
On Error GoTo ws_exit:
Application.EnableEvents = False
If Not Intersect(Target, Me.Range("J9")) Is Nothing Then
   If Target.Value = 2 Then PlaySound
End If

ws_exit:
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub

Thanks in advance

Answer
Christopher Mitchell,

I would expect this to work:  (replace your two existing routines with this one. (make copies of them before you do that).

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim intLastRow As Integer
On Error GoTo ws_exit1
If Not Intersect(Range("GroupCell"), Target) Is Nothing Then
Application.EnableEvents = False
Range("H3:I4").ClearContents

intLastRow = Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row - 1
Call UnProtectMe
Cells(2, 4).Resize(intLastRow, 1).ClearContents
Call ProtectMe

End If
ws_exit1:
Application.EnableEvents = True

On Error GoTo ws_exit:
Application.EnableEvents = False
If Not Intersect(Target, Me.Range("J9")) Is Nothing Then
If Me.Range("J9").Value = 2 Then PlaySound
End If

ws_exit:
Application.EnableEvents = True
End Sub
