I am looking for a way to firstly add a macro button to the end of every line on a spreadsheet which in turn once clicked will populate another spreadsheet with the data in the correct format. Basically I have one spreadsheet full of raw data and I need to be able to transfer individual line into a form I have created in Excel which splits the data in the line into the right sections. Does this make sense?
It does make sense - I'd try NOT to have a button per line as that is a lot of controls. You could assign a keystroke to the macro, or have it on a header row. You can use ActiveCell.row to get the row that is currently in use. I'd use one of the counting methods (worksheetfunction.counta, or SpecialCells(xlCellTypeLastCell).Row) to get the last used row on the destination sheet.
Does this help? Let me know if you need more (or more detailed) help and I'll do my best.
