# Excel/Reverse selection

Question

EXCEL IMAGE
I need formula on in column E to reverse my selection process. I have attached Image file for better understanding.

Updated for consistency --
Follow all steps exactly - assumes the top "L" is in cell D4.
Enter 2 in E4 and E5 (don't worry - this will become S1 or S2)
In E6:  =IF(COUNTIF(D3:D5,"L")>2,E5,IF(COUNTIF(D4:D5,"L")=2,3-E5,E5))
Fill E6 down to E15 (or more in your real data)

Select column E, Format as follows:
[=2]"S1";[=1]"S2"

Done.
