Excel/including dia.

I tried this:
=VLOOKUP(LEFT(G11,FIND("x",G11)-1)&"mm dia",Sheet2!$B$12:$C$16,2,FALSE)

but it did not work for diameter such as 15mm dia, 25mm dia, 150mm dia, etc.

Please suggest to include these diameters.

assuming your data table in sheet2 contains all possible values, and that G11 contains the number followed by an x, then your formula sounds fine - you do only have 5 data values on sheet2 though?  If it helps, my direct email (which would allow exchange of files) is aidan.heritage@virgin.net

I have provided first hand support since `95 for Microsoft Office majoring in Word and Excel - support for all versions from 2 onwards. I'm based in the UK, so please allow for time differences when asking me questions from other parts of the world! As AllExperts closes down, just google me to find my details - I will still be around answering questions!

My background is in the insurance industry and call centre areas, but have been called upon to provide many varied solutions.

I'm educated to UK A level standard, but as I left school some 30 years ago that is rather irrelevent - university of life has provided more of a background!
