ok i just went ahead and created a test sheet and three other sheets and did it and it all worked....

so going back to my workbook, i have one sheet named 500 and used that one and it didn't work either, so is it the code that's in the n column calling up the sheet name?  but no cause i tested column q with the values of what was in n column without codes and it came up with the same error, can i do it by sheet numbers say sheet270 and sheet 2, etc?

You need to make your 500 come back as a string.

If it comes back as a number then it thinks you want the 500th sheet in the collection of all sheets.

If you want to send the workbook, I can take a look.
