You are here:

Excel/Macro for value change

I have a data validation in cell "D2". If I change a validation, then it should automatically delete the contents in the cell "G2". Could you please assist me and provide a macro to do this task.

Thank you.

With Warm Regards,

Right click on the sheet tab for these cells and choose view code.  then paste in this code in the resulting module:

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Address = "$D$2" Then
End If
End Sub

There is no event related specifically to data validation.  I assume you are  using the list option and choosing a different value from the list.  This should cause a change event to be fired and I am using that to clear cell G2.
