Hello again, I thought I knew the IF statement real well but I am getting this error and cannot figure it out. (You have entered to many arguments for this function)

Here is the IF statement:

=IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),("-T"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),"-T"),IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),("-TCC"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),"-TCC"),IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),("-CT"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),"-CT

Please help

Robert,

this worked for me.

=IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),("-T"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),("-T"),IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),("-TCC"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),("-TCC"),IF(AND($A$255=2,$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),("-CT"),IF(AND($A$255=3,$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),("-CT"),"No Match"))))))

This is a bit shorted and used an OR for the Value of A255 (2 or 3) so you don't have to test each independently.

=IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),("-T"),IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),("-TCC"),IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),("-CT"),"No Match")))

You leave out the case of Both E13 and D23 equal to YES

IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="YES",$D$23="YES"), res1, res2)

if that needed to be included then it would be:

=IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="NO",$D$23="NO"),("-T"),IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="YES",$D$23="NO"),("-TCC"),IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="NO",$D$23="YES"),("-CT"),IF(AND(OR($A$255=2,$A$255=3),$E$13="YES",$D$23="YES"),("CCCC"),"No Match"))))
