Question
Hi Bill,

I would like create a sub-list of members belonging to a specific Team #.  Vlookup only returns one result, I believe.  But I would like to say create a list of members from Team #1, then 2, then 3.  My actual list of 40 team #s and a few hundred members.

Example.

Here the master list:

Team #   Member
1   John
2   Bill
3   Tom
1   Joe
2   Andrew
1   Christine
2   Eric
3   Sally
2   Amy

I would like to pull a sub-list:

Team #1:
Member:
John
Joe
Christine

Team #2:
Member:
Bill
Andrew
Eric
Amy

And so on.

How do I automate this.

Thanks.

Answer
Michael,

If you want to send me a sample workbook with some sample or real data I will show you how to do it using formulas.

send to twogilvy@msn.com

Another way to do it would be to use a pivot table if you know how to do pivot tables.
