Excel/formula syntax

Question
Hi Tom

I would like to add the following conditions to a formula:

If J1 is equal to K1 the formula below executes, otherwise the cell (which contains the formula) should be blank.

=IF($L$3="","",IFERROR(INDEX(name,SMALL(IF(LEFT(group2,LEN('source data'!$L$3))='source data'!$L$3,ROW(group2)),ROW(A1)),1),""))

Could you help me with the syntax that will achieve this?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Answer
Christopher,

Assuming what you posted works, then

=IF(J1<>K1,"",IF($L$3="","",IFERROR(INDEX(name,SMALL(IF(LEFT(group2,LEN('source data'!$L$3))='source data'!$L$3,ROW(group2)),ROW(A1)),1),"")))

Since the original formula appears to be an array formula, then this would need to be entered the same way the original formula was entered in terms of using enter or using Ctrl+Shift+Enter.
