# Excel/Forluma for multiple condition

Question
Dear Tom,

B4 = 50x20x10mm dia. I enter following formula but give error if symbol(x) is prefixed and siffixed with space as 50 x 20 x 10mm dia.
=VLOOKUP(LEFT(B4,IFERROR(FIND("x",B4),FIND("m",B4))-1)&"mm dia",Sheet2!\$B\$4:\$C\$13,2,FALSE)

Nabam,

If I understand the question, then this worked for me:

=VLOOKUP(TRIM(LEFT(B4,IFERROR(FIND("x",B4),FIND("m",B4))-1))&"mm dia",Sheet2!\$B\$4:\$C\$13,2,FALSE)

the Trim(Left functions produced  "50mm dia"  whether there was a space or not between the "50" and the "x".
