We have a few inventions (patent pending in Thailand) that we want to have manufactured in China. How can we make sure our prospective partners in China will respect our intellectual property? How can we be sure they do not share our secret with others? How much does it cost to apply for patent in China and how useful would that be?

Hi Paul,

        To protect the patent is not an easy campaign as you know, you need find a loyal partner for it, and you could produce the parts of your product in different factory, then assembly them in your trustful place(e.g. your own workshop).  

        Another way is that you could launch a joint venture with a China factory so you two will have the same business target and benefit, that they will do it better on protecting patent.
