For the past two years I am thinking of starting a export business(I am from India).But I can only think for the past 2 years.I couldnt do much productively..The reason that sets me back and the solution I want to know is:

1.Where can I find someone needs something? (ex: Joe from USA wants to import Indian clothes.So how do I find him?)

2.Is there a brokerage firm which would show me the potential importer(genuine one)(since I am interested in export)?

These are my questions.I couldnt find potential importers.I have tried with 2 websites.But it did not do what it claimed.Please help me.

For your questions.

1. You need make a website to promote you services or products, you can make some ads online also. you also can attend some tradeshow to find some customers, but it is not cost effective. you can use google to search some customer then send then sales emails,etc.

2. Yes, I think so. you need to search them online or offline.

ALl in all, I suggest you make a website to show your products catalog first, this is the easy way to get customer to contact you.
