Exporting & Importing Goods - question

Expert: Mark Mok - 9/26/2009

Question
hey i want to run my own business in marketing and import goods. i have been told to import and export goods you must own a shop or warehouse is this true?

Answer
Hi,

Usually you need to have a warehouse or shop to be a distributor. But if you sell on the web (B2C) and your have a good margin on your goods, you can ignore this point and ask your supplier to ship the goods directly to your buyers. Normally such kind of goods should be small (low cost on shipment) and high value added.

Kind Regards

Mark
