Subject: saying sorry

Question
hello maam, my name's saad. Coming to the point, well i find it pretty hard to say sorry to anyone. I cant even say sorry to my mum if i've done something wrong and i know it was my mistake. please help me with this, im starting to lose close friends because of this!

Answer
Saad, you've practically written the words in your question. Keep it simple and be sincere. If you are truly sorry for your error and not just the fact that you are suffering the consequences of being caught in your mistake, your sincerity will come through. Then even something as simple as, "I was wrong. I am sorry," can do the trick. Most importantly, try to avoid making the same mistake twice. The best apologies are the ones where you are actually sorry enough to change your behavior.
