Subject: cuts and scrapes

Question
Over the weekend I got a scrapes on my leg from roller bladding when i fell,( I was learning how to roller blade), but i have a tattoo where i got my scrapes and i was wondering if it will have an affect on it and how long will it take to heal.I have a wedding to attend in 4 days and i don't want to be all scraped up. Thank you!

Answer
Hi Michelle,
Scrapes usually heal in a week or two. A scrape over a tattoo may leave a pigment change on the tattoo itself. Just keep the areas clean with soap and water. Do NOT use triple antibiotic or neosporin as this could lead to serious skin reactions.
