Subject: male odor

Question
my husband has a fishy type odor between his legs, what could this be? I believe its when he's come home from work and just did a quick shower b/c other than that he doesn't smell like this, he doesn't even smell like sweat after a long days work....

Answer
sometimes it can be a bacterial infection, possibly trichomonas (a sex transmitted disease, but unlikely), or a fungal infection.  If the skin looks red or raw, treat it as fungal with Lamisil cream and lots of powder to keep the area dry.  If there is no skin redness/rawness, then possibly your doc can try a short course of antibiotics.
