Question Thanks for taking my questions, I will not go in to a long detail message. I am on Glucophage 1000 at am and pm and Amaryl 2mg am and pm. I have Dawns Effect, I wake up with 250 fbs, and I have tried everything the internet has suggested. My MD will not listen to me, but that is another problem I will deal with. The other night, I always take glucophage with amaryl about 6 with my dinner. But at bed I took another 500mg and a snack and woke up with a fbs of 120. That has not happened in 1 1/2 years. Is 2500mg too much glucophage. Thanks in advance
Answer I doubt if that dose of Glucophage really changed things that much. Glucophage tends to max out effectiveness at 2000 mg/daily, and side effects go up after that. It is cheap, safe and effective.... you might want to change your evening dose of Glucophage at bedtime though, instead of 6pm and see if you get better results.... hope this helps.
