Family, Internal Medicine, General Medical Questions - Immunisation problem?

Question
Hi,

I'm 20 yrs old.

In my mid teens I got a lot of pimples on my face. After treatment (tablets plus acne cream) there has been an improvement but few pimples still pop up. But I'm more concerned about the pimples on my back. They have not disappeared.

Also recently I got a couple of tiny scabs. But it seems like they have taken ages to heal. (After about a month the marks are still there i.e. ~90% healed).

Is my body fighting diseases not well enough? If yes, how do I solve the problem?

Thanks.

Answer
your body is fine.... but, you are having hormone changes that continue to make your glands produce too much oils, and continue with acne.... Typically, I cycle people on antibiotics like minocin or doxicycline.... then sometimes just give them some every day.  In bad cases, I consider Accutane, or retin-A cream.  I also use oxy-10 or some similar products.  This can be controlled until your hormones mature a little more, then the acne will go away.
