Family, Internal Medicine, General Medical Questions - Bleeding, urine

Expert: Robert Borucki - 11/4/2009

Question
For the past few days I have a huge amount of blood in my urine.  Lumps of blood also comes out.  I also have severe pain in my kidney area.

Answer
it sounds like you probably have a kidney stone.  There are other problems that can occur, but most likely a kidney stone... it may pass on it's own but sometimes it has to be helped by a specialist (Urologist)

Drink lots of fluid.... if the pain is bad or you can't urinate, then go to the emergency room
