Question I had trigger finger release surgery about 7 years ago on my index finger. That same finger is giving me problems again. Is it possible for trigger finger release to have to be done again? Can it be done again on the same finger? I'm having the same symptoms in my little finger. Is it possible to happen in different fingers on the same hand? I wouldn't worry about it, but it's my right hand (and I'm right handed).
Answer trigger finger is an annoyance.... it is a nodule on the tendon or tendon sheath that gets stuck a bit until a little more force pushes it through. Yes, it can reoccur. Esp if you are doing something repetitively that involves strong gripping.. The surgery can produce a little scarring over time that can create another trigger finger situation. So it isn't an emergency to get fixed.... some people just deal with it for years.
