Question
Hello,
I am having a little medical issue I am hoping you can give me some advice about. I have been noticing the past few weeks or so, I have been experiencing weird symptoms after eating, especially after eating sugar. I would say about 20-30 minutes after eating I get a sick feeling to my stomach, also my mouth starts to produce an excess amount of saliva and sometimes I will get dizzy or even a headache. I have never experienced anything like this before although I have had issues like GERD and Gallstones in the past. I also just had a baby about 6 weeks ago and was wondering of maybe that had anything to do with it as well ( hormones regulating). Thank You

Answer
That sick feeling and salivation sounds like real "mild nausea"  I think the pregnancy probably is the likely culprit, but some things should be looked at such as the urine, make sure there isn't an infection, blood count to make sure you aren't anemic and thyroid blood tests to make sure that is on the money.... You talked about gallstones.... I assume you had the GB out, because this could be a presentation of a blocked gallbladder if you haven't....  I would also get a BMP.... basic metabolic panel to make sure diabetes or other disorders of glucose metabolism aren't present.... hope this helps
