Stay Beautiful Safely Keeping Skin, Hair and Nails Looking Great During Pregnancy By Nicole Gray Nail Care Admittedly, a woman’s beauty routine might feel downright spartan when she’s pregnant, but there is one area of virtual freedom. You can maintain well-groomed hands and feet. According to Dr. Fawzia Zawahir, a Jersey City, N.J.-based pediatrician trained in maternal-fetal health, “Manicures and pedicures are OK, because nail lacquer is not absorbed into the nail bed.” According to Dr. Zawahir, the issue of absorption is key. “The areas of greatest concern are with those products that can cross the placenta," she says. Expert: Fawzia Zawahir M.D. - 6/24/2009

Question
Symptoms are stomach pain, occasional diarrhea, little appetite, dark green stool, bloating, feeling of being full all the time, stomach looks & feels swollen. What can it be?

Answer
Hi Chris. I have a few additional questions for you. How old are you and how long have you had these symptoms? Have you been seen by a doctor or had any tests like blood work, sonogram or endoscopy done? Do you have the pain constantly or only after food? Also are you male or female? Do you take any medicines for this problem? Do you have any other medical problems.

Thanks!
