Question
hi, im a 17yo male, 5-8 150lbs....
the past 2 days i have had a stomach ache followed by dirraha... it happens about 1 or 2 times an hour... i have been trying to let it pass,  but i just went to the bathroom right now and it was black... i just went a 2nd time and it was super black.

i looked it up on the internet and i am getting sort of scared.

what do you think it is?

ps. i had mono about 2-3 months ago, and have been having some type of tachycadia with my heart in the mornings when i wake up, idk if its related or not...

thx:)

Answer
Hi Garrett,
The diarrhea may be black because of the viral infection that caused the symptoms. There is of course the possibility that this could be blood. I would have your doctor check this out.
I’d mention the tachycardia too. I do not think it is connected but it is a symptom worthy of exploration.
