Family, Internal Medicine, General Medical Questions - coughing

Expert: Dr Khalid M Munir - 8/25/2009

Question
If a person has a lingering cough would it more likely be caused by defective lungs or a defective throat, or would it be 50-50? Thank you for your response. Al Brown

Answer
The cause is 90% in the throat. It may be simply irritation due to loud voice or throat infection. An ENT specialist can greatly help. Better get the problem identified by a doctor of modern medicine and then take naturopathic treatment is it is not something serious.
